My morning is off to a great start. I had to worst dream last night. One of those dreams that sticks with you all morning and sometimes all day. It started out good; I had dreamed that I found a puppy. And as much as I have wanted to get one lately I was obviously elated in my dream. I had found it in my house and it had run outside. I kept chasing it and trying to find it until I finally caught it. It had been neglected and apparently abused in my dream so I took it to the vet. The vet couldn’t save it and it had to be put down. I cried so hard in my dream that I woke up crying. It was horrible.
And the fact is that neglect and abuse happens to pets everywhere. I rarely watch the shows on Animal Planet about those police officers that rescue animals like that mostly because it just makes me really sad. I know it was just a dream but it still kind of brought me down this morning. It also inspired me to post this:
